Deadline: December 15, 2019

Postdoctoral Position
PLANT STRESS PHYSIOLOGY

Applicants are invited for a postdoctoral position in plant stress physiology in an EU supported project that aims to understand molecular circuits underlying plant responses to abiotic and biotic stresses. We are looking for a postdoctoral fellow with an expertise in plant stress physiology, and an interest in plant omics. Previous experience in construction of transgenic Arabidopsis and tomato, confocal laser scanning microscopy or plant phenotyping is welcomed.

The successful candidate will be involved in investigation of multiple stress interactions with main focus on heat, drought and pathogen attack. The successful candidate will participate in stress treatments, plant phenotyping, sample preparation, biochemical and biophysical assays, data evaluation, interpretation and manuscript preparation.

We offer a creative and stimulating international scientific environment and high‐end facilities. The lab language is English.

The city of Brno is the second largest city in the Czech Republic and provides an attractive international living environment (https://www.brnoexpatcentre.eu/).

The position is initially for up to 24‐month period with a possible extension for another 1 year. The position is available starting from January 1, 2020. Earlier start can be negotiated. Applications will be continuously evaluated until the deadline of December 15, 2019 or until filled. PROTEOMICS AND METABOLOMICS OF PLANT ABIOTIC AND BIOTIC STRESSES

Applicants are invited for a postdoctoral position in plant proteomics and metabolomics in an EU supported project that aims to understand molecular circuits underlying plant responses to abiotic and biotic stresses. We are looking for a postdoctoral fellow with an expertise in plant proteomics and metabolomics and an interest in plant stress physiology. Previous experience in bioinformatics is welcomed.

The successful candidate will be involved in non‐targeted and targeted proteome and metabolome profiling of plant responses to abiotic and biotic stresses using mainly LC‐MS and GC‐MS based approaches. The successful candidate will participate in sample preparation, analysis and
interpretation of measured data, and manuscript preparation.
